Alex Cuba has retuned with a new single "Son para tu Boca" and video
Alex Cuba’s latest single “Son para tu Boca” maintains his signature Latin pop soundscape. The
intro feels like an ‘80s synthesizer was played by Prince. His Spanish vocals are smooth and
silky. However, the upbeat tempo isn’t upbeat enough to keep a dance party on the stage. It’s
more of a soundtrack for your solo drive down the California coast. It is not as strong as the
tracks on his Grammy award winning 2021 album Mendó, but it’s still a delicious aural track to
his growing discography. It’s not often that American listeners can hear Afro-Cuban jazz on
mainstream radio, so I hope his fan base continues to expand.
